Kego Shrine’s Torii (archway to a Shinto shrine) is made from one big tree. There are a few Japanese Chinquapin trees in oak tree lines nest to the Torii. Not so many people know about it. I pick up the chinquapin nuts once a year during my walking. I can get a small amount but I roast and eat them. I enjoy once a year.
